Marriott Bonvoy Launches New Global Autumn Promotion: Earn Up to 4,500 Bonus Points on 2-Night Stays
Marriott Bonvoy has launched a new global promotion for autumn 2026, giving members the opportunity to earn up to 4,500 bonus points on a single eligible stay of two nights or more.
The promotion, titled “Earn 1,500 Bonus Points on Stays of 2+ Nights and 3,000 More at Resorts,” is available at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties worldwide.
The basic offer is simple: members earn 1,500 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points on every eligible paid stay of at least two consecutive nights. Those staying at an eligible Marriott resort can earn an additional 3,000 points, bringing the total to 4,500 bonus points per qualifying resort stay.
How does the promotion work?
The promotion has two parts.
Members who register can earn 1,500 bonus points on every eligible paid stay of two or more consecutive nights at a participating Marriott Bonvoy property.
An additional 3,000 bonus points are available when that qualifying stay is at a participating Marriott resort.
This means a qualifying resort stay can earn:
1,500 bonus points + 3,000 resort bonus points = 4,500 bonus points
There is also no stated limit on the number of eligible paid stays for which members can earn bonus points during the promotion period.
When is the promotion available?
Members can register for the promotion from September 9 through November 13, 2026.
The earning period runs from September 22 through November 22, 2026.
Importantly, you must register before completing your eligible stay. Only stays completed after registration can earn the promotional bonus.
If you do not see the promotion in your Marriott Bonvoy account yet, don’t worry. As this is a global promotion, it may take a few days to appear in some members’ profiles. It is worth checking your account again later, or trying the dedicated promotion registration page.
The 2-night minimum is key
The promotion requires a stay of at least two consecutive nights under the same reservation.
A one-night stay does not qualify.
For example:
1-night stay → no promotional bonus
2-night stay → 1,500 bonus points
2-night eligible resort stay → 4,500 bonus points
5-night eligible resort stay → 4,500 bonus points
The bonus is awarded per eligible stay, not per night, so a two-night resort stay earns the same promotional bonus as a five-night resort stay.
That makes the offer particularly attractive for short weekend trips and mini-breaks.
The additional 3,000 points are clearly the most attractive part of the offer.
A qualifying two-night stay at a participating Marriott resort can earn the full 4,500 bonus points, making a short resort getaway considerably more rewarding.
However, not every Marriott property described as a resort will necessarily participate. The property must be participating in both Marriott Bonvoy and this specific promotion at the time of the stay.
You can earn the bonus more than once
One of the stronger aspects of this promotion is the absence of a maximum number of qualifying stays.
For example, three qualifying two-night resort stays during the promotion could generate:
3 × 4,500 = 13,500 bonus points
Four stays would generate 18,000 bonus points, assuming every stay meets the promotion’s requirements.
That can be useful for frequent Marriott travelers with several trips already planned during the autumn.
How to book
The promotion applies to eligible paid stays booked on a Points-eligible Qualifying Rate.
And there is an important point for travelers who prefer to use a travel advisor: you do not necessarily have to book directly with Marriott to benefit from this promotion. Marriott’s terms include qualifying travel-advisor rates and channels, so an eligible reservation booked through a travel advisor can still qualify.
This means you can book your Marriott stay through a travel advisor such as myself and still earn the promotional bonus, provided the reservation is made on an eligible Marriott Bonvoy Qualifying Rate and through a qualifying channel.
Qualifying Marriott channels include Marriott websites and mobile apps, participating properties, Marriott Customer Engagement Centres and other qualifying channels.
However, many rates booked through third-party online travel agencies do not qualify.
So, when booking through a travel advisor, it is worth confirming that the reservation is being made on a Qualifying Rate rather than a non-qualifying third-party rate.
Award stays do not qualify
The promotion applies to paid stays only.
Marriott specifically excludes:
Award Redemption Stays, Cash + Points bookings, Free Night Awards and other points-redemption stays.
Certain brands and property types are also excluded, including Bulgari Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Marriott Executive Apartments.
Only one room at one property per stay counts toward the promotion.
What about Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy?
Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy is also included, but with an important limitation.
An eligible Homes & Villas stay of two or more nights can earn the 1,500 bonus points, but it does not qualify for the additional 3,000-point resort bonus.
The bonus points for Homes & Villas stays may also take longer to post — Marriott states that they can be credited up to eight weeks after the promotion earning period ends.
When will the bonus points appear?
The standard 1,500 bonus points should be credited within 10 business days after checkout.
The additional 3,000 resort bonus points can take longer and may be awarded up to eight weeks after the promotion earning period ends.
This is worth keeping in mind if you are tracking your Bonvoy balance toward a specific redemption.
Is this Marriott Bonvoy promotion worth it?
Yes — but mainly as a nice bonus on stays you were already planning.
The promotion is certainly worth registering for, especially because there is no cost to do so and the bonus comes on top of the regular Marriott Bonvoy points you would normally earn.
However, I would not make extra hotel bookings purely because of this promotion.
Even the maximum 4,500 bonus points on a qualifying resort stay is a welcome addition, but it is hardly a game-changing Bonvoy promotion. The value simply isn’t high enough to justify paying for an unnecessary stay or changing your travel plans just to collect the bonus.
The best strategy is therefore straightforward: register for the promotion, and take advantage of it on any qualifying stays you already have planned.
A two-night resort stay earning 4,500 additional points is a nice little boost to your Bonvoy balance. Five qualifying resort stays would generate 22,500 bonus points — but only if those are stays you actually wanted to take anyway.
Bottom line
Marriott Bonvoy’s new global autumn promotion is a straightforward and worthwhile bonus, but not one that should change your travel plans.
Members can earn 1,500 bonus points on every qualifying paid stay of two or more nights, while eligible resort stays can earn an additional 3,000 points, for a total of 4,500 bonus points per stay.
There is no stated limit on the number of qualifying stays, making it easy to collect additional points if you already have several Marriott stays planned between September and November.
Just remember to register before completing your stay, book a qualifying rate, and make sure the property participates in the promotion.
And if you don’t see the offer in your Marriott Bonvoy profile immediately, give it a few days — as a global promotion, it may not appear in every account at exactly the same time.
